Lindsey Akel, REALTOR®, with EXIT 1 Stop Realty in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of a Navy Veteran who traveled extensively across the United States, decided to give Orange Park and Jacksonville a chance to become her permanent home, allowing her to establish roots. For over 20 years, Lindsey has called the 904 her home, residing in various areas ranging from remote dirt roads in Middleburg to Orange Park, the rapidly expanding St. John's Town Center, and now finding settlement in Mandarin. Throughout her time in the city, she has witnessed its remarkable growth.
With a background as a respiratory therapist, Lindsey has dedicated much of her life to caring for the sick. However, she now aspires to transition into a new role where she can assist people in finding their ideal homes.
In her leisure time, Lindsey takes pleasure in observing the breathtaking sunrises at the beach and captivating sunsets on the downtown Riverwalk. Running is one of her favorite activities, often accompanied by her Best Running Friends (BRFs) on long Sunday runs. Every year, she participates in the Gate River Run as a Solemate, raising funds for Girls on the Run. This organization empowers young girls by cultivating confidence, kindness, and decision-making skills.
As a mother of boys, Lindsey has developed a newfound love for sports, particularly football and baseball. She eagerly supports the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Florida Gators as a devoted football fan. Additionally, she can be found cheering on the Jumbo Shrimp during their baseball games or enthusiastically supporting her son during his own matches.
