Alex Betancourt is a REALTOR® with EXIT 1 Stop Realty in Jacksonville, Florida, whose beginning roots were in Puerto Rico, but his upbringing years were spent living in Europe. As a well-traveled and cultured individual, it was important to him to choose the place that he would call home so he decided to take advantage of an incredible opportunity to come to Jacksonville in 2013 because he felt the First Coast was a great place for a balance of both work and life as Northeast Florida offers just that!

Alex comes from a military family, as his father was in the Army, but he also served himself in the Army. His professional background also includes working with global banks that are part of the 2022 Fortune 500 list as an Assistant Vice President/Team Leader. His focus was on managing teams for various fraud protection groups and Financial Crimes (KYC/Anti-Money Laundering). These experiences allowed him to develop his skills in communication, attention to detail, transparency, and putting his clients first.

Besides having a passion for the real estate industry, Alex is a huge “movie buff” and can be found at the cinema whenever he has downtime, continues to be a lover of travel, is a foodie, and enjoys spending time with his four Boston Terriers and friends and family. He has a big heart and involves himself in the local community by volunteering and participating in events and charity initiatives that benefit the area. Alex is an advocate for feeding the homeless in Jacksonville, dedicates time to fostering and rescuing for The Boston Terrier Rescue of North Florida, and is a contributor to the Jacksonville Humane Society and other charities.
