She spent 21 years serving in the US Army as a Human Resources Technician. While in the Army Ann Marie met and married her husband, Samuel, a native of Jacksonville, Florida. No matter where they may have been living, they always found time to visit Jacksonville.
After retiring from the Army, Ann Marie obtained her Master of Science in Human Resource Management. She then went on to work at an Intellectual Law Firm in Atlanta, Georgia, then with the Department of Veteran Affairs in Louisville, Kentucky. After her husband’s job relocation, Ann was ready to settle down in one place and immediately knew she was ready to call Jacksonville her home. Through the years of visiting Jacksonville, Ann Marie fell in love with the diverse culture, great seafood, stunning beaches, and the beautiful state parks and gardens.
